Matt Erickson Research Scientist

Matt received his Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from the University of Georgia and his Master’s degree in biology from Georgia Southern University. His undergraduate research involved using stable isotopes to examine the diet of diamondback terrapins along the Georgia coast and his Master’s research was focused on studying the influence of nutrition on the health and growth of the federally threatened gopher tortoise in captive management. Matt’s research interests include studies of ecology and natural history in the southeast and past research projects have involved studies of ecotoxicology related to constructed wetlands.
