Thousands participate each year in Phinizy’s award-winning education programs designed to further the understanding of our water systems and the life that our water sustains. Education programs feature hands-on, science-based learning experiences for school field trips, professional development for teachers, homeschool science enrichment, toddler classes, summer camps, lifelong learning classes, and more.
Research
Phinizy scientists study freshwater ecosystems in the southeastern United States, with an emphasis on the Savannah River Basin. Through our research, we aim to find the necessary balance between a healthy river ecology and the needs of our communities.
