From the serenade of tree frogs to the soothing calls of Barred Owls, the sounds of the Swamp come alive at night! Join us as we celebrate a walk in the light of a full moon by taking you on a guided, leisurely hike through the Nature Park trails. Children and adults will enjoy the beauty of the evening.

Want to grab a bite to eat before the hike or roast a marshmallow to put on a delicious s’more?  We invite you to come early to relax around the campfire. We will have cold refreshments, s’more kits, and hotdog or hamburger plates available to enjoy as we watch the park transform with the sunset.

Please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and bring water to drink. Strollers are welcome. NO DOGS, please.

Check out the Event schedule below. (If you would like to participate in only the Hike, then please make sure to give yourself time to find a parking spot, use the restroom, and get checked in before your Hike start time.)

5:00 pm – 7:45 pm: S’mores, Grilled hotdog/hamburger plates (+bag of chips, cookies, bottle of water)

5:30 pm – 7:00 pm: Hayrides

7:00 pm – 8:30 pm:  “Kid Friendly” Sunset Hike starts (Children must be accompanied by Caregiver/guardian.)

7:45 pm – 10:00 pm: Full Moon Hike starts

Weather:  If the Phinizy Center cancels an event due to thunder, lightning, and/or constant hard rain, we will contact you through the email address you registered with.
