National Honey Bee Day at Phinizy Swamp will be a morning filled with family fun and tasty treats! Activities will include honey tasting from local beekeepers, a honey based bake-off, face painting, games and crafts, educational classes and information about pollinators, and live music from The Wynn’s! Bring your friends and family, a picnic blanket and enjoy sweet iced tea and entertainment.

Local chefs will judge homemade honey desserts with prizes awarded to the winners, so bring your best homemade sweet treat!

The day will run from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM: These activities will have different booths and places and will be free flow.

-Face Painting
-Pin the wings on the bee, turtle egg relay, 3 legged heron race, frog hop relay, volleyball, soccer,and hackysack toss.
-Pollinator Plant Scavenger Hunt/Bingo
-Craft
-Bee Pinata
-Honey Tasting from different apiaries/farms

Honey is available for purchase in Phinizy’s Visitor Center and from beekeeper booths. Donations are welcome to support Phinizy programming.
