Rivers Alive Cleanup
October 17 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Georgia’s 70,150 miles of streams and rivers need your help! Our waterways provide us with fresh drinking water, great recreational opportunities like canoeing and fishing, and they serve as a pleasant respite from our busy day to day lives. The pandemic has led to more waste entering our waterways. This is your opportunity to help protect one of our most precious resources…water!
October 17th marks our Annual River’s Alive cleanup. Join our team as we clear the trash out of Butler Creek and the Mayor’s Fish’n Hole.
Plan to meet in the front parking lot at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park at 9 am and work until noon.
This year will look a little different because of COVID-19. To avoid large gatherings, we will put you into your team and get you started as people arrive, instead of gathering for opening remarks. We are not providing lunch after the event this year. Additionally, please arrive at the event with a face mask on.
You must register below and say whether you would like to be placed into a team or will be coming with your own group.
For more information, please call 706-796-7707 or email email@example.com.
If you register after 4 PM on Friday (10/16) you will not be on the check-in list, but go ahead and come join us.
