Sita Alexander

Environmental Educator

Sita grew up in a small, rural, California town near Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Surrounded by nature, Sita developed a passion for the outdoors from an early age. Wanting to turn her compassion for the environment into her career, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolution from the University of California Santa Barbara. After college, Sita worked as an educator at Project Survival’s Cat
Haven, a big cat conservation facility.

Sita made the move across country to live nearer to her twin sister (a PhD student at AU), but truly found her place in the South upon discovering Phinizy Swamp. Sita is delighted to be able to continue environmental advocacy among fellow nature enthusiasts and educators in a beautiful outdoor setting.
