Phinizy Center’s Photography Permit

Who Needs It:
Commercial, media, or content creation photographers
An Annual Phinizy Center Photography permit is required when conducting photography business on Phinizy Center’s Nature Park property. “Photography business” is defined as any commercial enterprise or anyone who makes money photographing on any Phinizy Center’s Nature Park property.
- News reporters or journalists taking photos for media purposes are not required to have a Permit but must reach out to Phinizy staff for permission to utilize the park.
- Parents/teachers taking pictures of their children/students are not required to have a Permit.
Permit Policies:
- Permit valid for one year from the date of purchase.
- Person must apply for permit through Phinizy Center’s website.
- When applying online, person will be required to read over and agree to park rules and policies which include specific rules on props and wildlife ethics, such as no confetti and balloons.
- When application is received, the Phinizy Center will reach out to finish the application process. The Phinizy Center will require a copy of License/State ID.
- The Phinizy Center will assign a permit.
- A paper permit card will be mailed to you or can be picked up on request.
- Permit purchase receipt or permit card must be on your person whenever conducting a photo session on Phinizy Center’s Nature Park property.
- You are required to show, upon request, your permit receipt or card to any Phinizy Center staff member or public safety officer.
- All photo sessions with people/pets and/or props require at least 1 week prior notice given to Park Director.
- Phinizy programs have priority use of the park and photographers may be asked to relocate if they are in the way of a program.
- All permit applications must be received at least 14 days before photo session to allow for processing.
- Phinizy reserves the right to revoke a permit if policies and rules are not being followed.
