Water Testing

The Phinizy Center for Water Sciences runs a full water quality testing lab and macroinvertebrate identification lab. Providing these services to public entities and the community along the Savannah River basin furthers our mission of environmental stewardship through research and education and promotes science and public safety. Water is tested by our GA State-certified Wastewater Laboratory Analyst. Macroinvertebrates are identified by our SFS Taxonomy-certified aquatic taxonomist. All testing follows national protocol with a set method with rigorous quality assurance and quality control. Our lab is capable of performing the following tests:
